Chhattisgarh has done a great job in implementation of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Scheme (MNREGS) by successfully completing various construction works under the scheme. Chhattisgarh has been given second position in the grading done at national-level based on the quality and quantity of works done under MNREGA in states in last five years, told Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh while presiding over the meeting of Chhattisgarh State Rural Area Development Authority, held at Mantralaya (Mahanadi Bhavan) in Naya Raipur. In the meeting, execution of works under MNREGS in last five years, i.e. from financial year 2008-09 to 2012-13 was reviewed.
