Scrap proposal of 5-day working week, 'Tatpar' urges Government

'Tatpar' an organisation constituted among the organisations engaged in public interest works, have demanded that the State Government should immediately scrap the proposal for making 5-day Government working week and instead continue with the existing 6-day Government working week or if at all becomes necessary to implement 5-day Government working week, than the daily working hours on week days should be increased and it should be from 9 am till 5.30pm and that it should be implemented on true letter and spirit.

Noncompliance with a Supreme Court judgement, regarding Annual Performance Assessment Report (APAR) of employees working in the Government agencies as well as in the Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) in the country, by the PSUs has questioned the role of the PSU managements as far as transparency measures taken by them for their employees are concerned.

Major reshuffle in BSP, 63 officers transferred

In what could be termed as one of the biggest reshuffle in Bhilai Steel Plant in the recent times, sixty-three officers of the Deputy General Managers rank were transferred and posted to other departments. The transfers have taken place more in Materials Management department, Marketing, Personnel an Projects. While an attempt has been made to strengthen the Projects department after the recent reprimand by the Chairman, the shuffle in Materials Management was as per the job rotation policy in sensitive positions.

BSNL employees call off strike

Following an agreement dealt out at the last moment, the All-India indefinite strike, scheduled to begin from Wednesday, of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) employees was called off. The strike was called on by the Forum of BSNL Unions/ Association. After the prolonged discussion, BSNL employees and BSNL management took following decision.

418 youth given employment opportunities in Naya Raipur

As per announcement of Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh, the initiative of providing employment oriented training to youths of villages situated in Naya Raipur area is given good results. More than 1,000 boys-girls have been provided with skill development training related to different trade in the Chhattisgarh Construction Academy through Naya Raipur Authority in village Kayabandha of Naya Raipur. of these, 418 youths have also been given employment opportunities.

RSU employees to get 58% DA

The Executive Council (EC) of Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University (RSU) approved 58 per cent dearness allowance for its employees following the State government decision which came into effect a few days back. Beside, the EC also decided to deprive the examiners of all the activities related to examination work for two years if the difference between the actual marks and the revaluation marks found more than 30 per cent in case of revaluation of the answer sheets. Similarly, the EC approved the proposal of increasing the retirement age of teachers from 62 to 65.

Shikshakarmis to get NOCs for transfer

After a long debate, the General Administration Department (GAD) of District Panchayat decided to lift ban on issuing no-objection certificates for the transfer of eligible Shikshakarmis. During a meeting of District Panchayat GAD held on Monday, a proposal regarding applications submitted by Shikshakarmis for transfer was put in first.
