Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh on Tuesday dedicated State's biggest public 'Central Park' to the people on a function held at Naya Raipur. During the function chief minister made announcement that two features will be added in the park which includes Butterfly Park and Bird Park for education children about animals.
Naya Raipur will become an attractive centre for Horticulture farmers in the near future. Horticulture will be developed on the 75-acre proposed Botanical Gardens. Model Horticulture and-cum-Demonstration centre will be developed here for Horticulture farmers. New techniques will be imbibed for fruits-flowers and vegetables. State-level farmers' training centre, Centre of Excellence units will be developed in Naya Raipur.
Owing to the natural calamity, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi's programme scheduled on May 9 in Naya Raipur have been postponed. But the sequence of his programmes in Dantewada remains unchanged. As a storm hit Naya Raipur today afternoon, the massive dome under-construction in IIIT premise, which was being built for Prime Minister's programme, fell off. Number of employees and labourers were injured in the incident. As soon as Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh received the information, he reached on spot and inspected the venue.
Preparations for the programmes to be organized on May 9 in Dantewada and Naya Raipur during Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi's visit, are underway at war-footing. Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today inspected the venue, where Prime Minister's general meeting will be held, situated near IIIT (International Institute of Information Technology) in Naya Raipur. After his visit to Dantewada on May 9, Prime Minister will inaugurate IIIT and police headquarters building and Human Development Centre of Satya Sai Institute on the same day.
"Naya Raipur is the best destination for development of Information Technology (IT) based industries, because it offers better facilities for such industries than any other state. Chhattisgarh has better IT and Electronics Policy, and Chhattisgarh Government is well-determined for development of IT sector in state," said Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today while addressing 'Opportunity Chhattisgarh 2015' event jointly organized by State Government's Information Technology Department and NASSCOM.
Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today that to safeguard the Bio-diversity of nature the protection of wild-life is very essential. He was speaking at the meeting of Chhattisgarh State Wild-Life Conservation Board at Mantralaya. He gave instructions for declaring Gidwa, Parsada and Mandhar in the district as Bird Conservation Zones. Dr. Raman Singh said that fruit-bearing and flower-bearing trees should be grown in bird conservation areas to attract wide species of birds to the sanctuaries.
The Union Minister for Surface Transport and National Highway Nitin Gadkari laid stone for construction of three major projects at the cost of Rs 700 crore in Naya Raipur here on Tuesday afternoon. This includes the Rs 327 crore worth Retial Complex, Rs 300 crore worth of Commercial Complex and Office Complex at the cost of Rs 80 crore. Gadkari also dedicated 'Industrial Bhawan' developed by the state government for the Heads of the departments at the cost of Rs 209 crore and he also inaugurated the WiFi facility of internet in this building under Digital India Campaign.
A lot of school children took active part in bird watching programme in Naya Raipur. The members of Wild-Life Society explained in detail the classification of birds, daily routine and their conditions. The curious boys put a lot of questions and elicited a lot of responses from the experts. About 130 school children took active part in the event jointly organised by the Naya Raipur Development Authority and Chhattisgarh Wild-Life Society at Sendh Lake in Naya Raipur. As per the announcement of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, three-day exhibition of Rajyotsav 2014 organized at village Tuta of Naya Raipur has been extended for two days. Now this exhibition will conclude on November 5. Chief Minister made this announcement on November 1 during the inaugural programme, in view of the commendable preparation done by various departments and the huge crowd of visitors pouring in at the stalls put up by these departments. This exhibition has been organized at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Capitol Complex.
Impressed to see the water conservation system and the rehabilitation scheme of Naya Raipur, Film Actor Amitabh Bachchan said that such efforts are extremely important for development of the city. Praising the township project, Mr Bachchan said that Naya Raipur would soon develop into a beautiful city. He also extended his best wishes for successful implementation of the project.
