NABARD approves six minor irrigation projects for Chhattisgarh

In a major decision, the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has approved half-a-dozen minor irrigation projects proposed by the State Water Resources Department (WRD). The list of approved projects includes Bardwar Diversion scheme in Thakhatpur of Bilaspur district, Mundadeori Anicut scheme in Pathariya of Mungeli, Lining of Batang Minor of TMC in Patan of Durg, Muridhobha Anicut in Pithora of Mahasamund, Limha tank in Bilha of Bilaspur and Ghurau tank scheme in Saraipali of Mahasamund.

NABARD Sanctioned Rs 245.21 crore to State Government under RIDF

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD)

National Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development Bank (NABARD) has sanctioned financial assistance of Rs 245.21 crore from Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) to the State Government. With this sanction, the cumulative financial commitment to the government during 2013-14 has gone up to Rs 570.41 crore. This additional fund would be utilised to develop 539.69 KMs rural roads in 26 districts in the State benefits 7.94 lakh people in 2064 villages. In addition to this, irrigation potential of 3910.16 hectares would be created in the State.

NABARD releases 'State Focus Paper' during Chhattisgarh State Credit Seminar

Keeping in focus the estimated loan possibilities in the next fiscal year of 2013-14, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has released 'State Focus Paper' during a Chhattisgarh State Credit Seminar organised on Wednesday. NABARD has assessed a loan flow of 73 thousand 840 crores during the five fiscal years from 2013-14 to 2016-17. During a symposium organised by NABARD, discussion held on the loan possibilities in the five-year plan of Chhattisgarh.

NABARD to approve Rs 228 crore for Mukhyamantri Gram Gaurav Path Yojana

National Bank for Agriculturew and Rural Development (NABARD) will approve Rs 228 crore for the Mukhyamantri Gram Gaurav Path Yojana in the State. Chief General Manager of NABARD, Regional Office S K Bansal informed this to the Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh during a courtesy call here at the CM"s official residence on Wednesday. While interacting with the Chief Minister, S K Bansal informed about the progress of works initiated by NABARD in the State. He said that with the cooperation of NABARD, Core Banking Services (CBS) have commenced in 159 branches of local cooperative banks.

NABARD sanctions financial assistance of Rs 221.36 crore

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned additional financial assistance of Rs 221.36 crore from Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF)-XVIII to the Government of Chhattisgarh taking the total sanction in current year to Rs 801.47 crores, out of which Rs 213.24 crores provided for developing 234 Rural Roads and Rs 8.12 crores for 2 minor irrigation projects in Chhattisgarh.

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned financial assistance of Rs 68.48 crore from Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDE)-XVIII to the State Government. With this sanction, the cumulative financial commitment to the State Government during the financial year 2012-13 has gone to Rs 580.12 crore. The additional funds would be utilized to develop 274 km rural roads in 12 districts of the State.

NABARD engages BCs, BFs to provide banking facilities in villages

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD)

In order to increase the outreach to the un-banked population with no bank branch, the banks have engaged Business Correspondents (BC) and Business Facilitators (BF) to provide banking facilities in village of the State with population above 2,000 to facilitate Financial Inclusion. National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) is coordinating the training of the BCs/BFs/BCAs for which district level trainers have been identified for each district.
