The fast changing lifestyle of middle income group propels to seek quick solutions for cooking which is both healthy and tasty at the same time. Present day kitchen cannot be compared with our traditional kitchen. These days microwave oven is very common in every household but people are hesitant about using it or have fads for it. In microwave, food is cooked by the heat produced by the absorption of microwave energy by water molecules in the food. The objective of the workshop will be to make students and
homemakers scientifically aware about microwave assisted food processing skill.
